We needed a little time away from the crazyness of Joplin right now. Both our jobs have been pretty stressful with all the tornado stuff going on, so we planned a little escape to Texas. It turned out that we had something going on EVERY evening we were off, so we decided it best to just chill at home instead of driving all over Texas. It turned out to be a GREAT decision! We have never taken off & just spent time at home before. It was so nice. We played at home or in town during the day then did our scheduled event in the evening. We did a movie, some golfing, got snowcones, shopped, ate out, played in the pool, and just chilled at home. We did want to go do a little something though, so Thursday we headed off to Branson. We stayed at Castle Rock Resort & Waterpark. It was a hotel with an indoor waterpark. It also has a kids nook in the hotel room which waas equipt with their own tv & bunk "big" beds. That was way cool to Kamden because he has been wanting a "big" bed for some time now. the waterpark was the perfect size for Kamden. it had 2 big slides, a lazy river & LOTS of kiddie areas. He had a blast! We ventured out & did a little dinosaur mini golf & ate at Lambert's. We weren't there long enough to do much else. We spent most all our time in the waterpark. One of my friends & her little girl were also staying there (not planned), so we spent one day playing in the water with them. We have also never gone & done anything just the three of us without friends or family, so that made it a special little getaway.
