Loving Our GGma

A couple weekends ago we got to go visit GGma in El Reno, OK. We haven't gotten to go there in quite a while, so we were all excited. Aaron gets excited to watch sports and channel surf all her cable channels. I just love getting to spend time with my family and getting to relax. Kamden likes to go because there are MANY things to explore at GGma's house.He gets to play on the computer and with her old toys. Plus GGma always takes him to fun places. This time we got to go to Incredible Pizza. Kamden likes to play with the guns and the race cars the most. He has gotten really into guns. In fact, Kamden loaded his back pack for GGma's church Sunday. When we had gotten a little way into the service he started dragging out all his toys and out comes his little toy gun. Luckily we were able to pry it away from him before he made a scene with it, but of course we made a scene of another sort and I had to drag him out and explain to him why guns are NOT appropriate in church. After that he just laid in the very back under the pew, but at least he was quiet. He did come out for "snack time" (otherwise known as communion). He thought that was pretty great, but that led into a conversation as to why we had to eat Jesus and drink his blood (he wasn't sure about that little drink after that and savored it for a while). We went driving around in GGma's car on one of the back roads and we let Kamden unbuckle and feel the breeze. He thought that was pretty great. Our car doesn't have windows that he can stick his head out.We even got to take Dodger (our new puppy) on his first trip. He did really well, but he had just been neutered and kept licking, so before we left we called the vet and he said Dodger needed to wear an E-collar. It was so funny to see him in it. Kamden discovered a new toy at GGma's...she got a new electric chair and Kamden thought it was pretty cool to "ride it up high." His great aunt Cynthia is always a hoot we LOVE getting to see her and she loves kids toys, so she spoils him. She got him a new "Landy Cand" game, and a burping dinosaur puppet. Dinosaurs are the thing he is really into right now. Cousin Tess visited for a little bit too and I think Kamden has a thing for her. He knows a pretty girl when he sees one. All in all it was a nice little break from our everyday chaos!
